I beg to thank you very much for the succesful manner in which you have treated my translation of the 13th Psalm: and I doubt not that all competent judges will consider your composition a real treasure to the Music of the Church, either for an Oratorio, or for the devotional service.
I have requested your friend Mr Moscheles to settle with you for the Copy-right for which I have paid him: and if you will have the following words printed with each copy of the Music, I consent to your publishing the same in Germany, or to your authorizing any Music-sellers or Publishers to publish the same in Germany, on and after Thursday the next, which I have fixed as my day of publication here.
Words to which the above prefers: – “This Music, except in Germany, is the Copyright “of the Author of the English words. ”
