I am glad to hear you have made additions which please you to your Symphonia Cantata – but pray my dear Sir – send it off to us – as we are all longing. They want to do it at the Philharmonic: for which an Chorus will be engaged. and I am sure they will do it this time. There are some bars wanting in the P. F. account? the 114! Psalm of which I put the particulars in my last letter, please read it over if you have not look it – We have each been such miners in the way of bad correspondance that we must say, as Peachum says to Locket in “Gay’s Beggars Opera”: “Brother, Brother we are both in the wrong” but I will set a good example and never complain again. – Pray answer me as to your wishes with regard to the dedication of the 114th Psalm – Our kind friend Mr. Klingemann gave me news of you within a few days, but he told me it was very slow in its journey – We have been quite stagnant us to music since you hence left us except the Messiah which is often done at yours. – Your St Paul was performed at Bath with much effect on yours eve and it is to be done on as large scale at Manchester at Easter. – Mr. Moscheles & Benedict have been establishing a society something like the King School in Berlin, which is held at Mr rooms. And we have formed a very nice society of 20 of the principal Vocalists for the private practise of concerted music – we are to meet once a week during the season – All my family are quite well and quite will me in kind remembrance to you and yours.
