Juni 1833, für den hier übersandten Song »This sweet to think the pure ethereal being« von Richard Harris Barham (Z. 4 ff.): »Accept my thanks for your kind note […] Many thanks for the beautiful verses, which I could wish to compose as well as I like them; if I can find the necessary leisure till next week I shall bring the music with me.« Barham hatte den Song 1840 in der Sammlung The Indgoldsby Legends or Mirth an Marvels, S. 591, unter dem Pseudonym Thomas Ingoldsby publiziert.
