Since your departure from Leipzig I have been expecting your news most anxiously. I intend having this in about six weeks, and as I very much wish to have your answer about the proposals you undertook to communicate to Mr PlanchéPlanché, James Robinson (1796-1880), and about all the other things which we were then discussing, before my leaving Leipzig I should be very much obliged to you if you would let me hear from you as early as possible. I hear from Mr MoschelesMoscheles, Ignaz (Isack) (1794-1870) that you are happily arrived, & hope therefore to receive your answer very soon. You know how important I consider it to be, & how great a value I attach to the question which is to be answered by your letter.

Believe me very truly yoursFelix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
