I receive your letter of the 3d this moment, and hasten to write to you in return, as you wish to have an immediate answer. I have come back to this place about three weeks since, and shall stay here during the whole winter till April of next year. How happy I shall be to see you here, I need not repeat because you certainly know the esteem I have for you & the pleasure it will give me to become more acquainted with you & your talent, and I can only repeat in this respect the same things, which I said to you at Dusseldorf. Mr. LipinskyLipiński, Karol Józef (Karl Joseph) (1790-1861) told me some days ago he was sure you would come over but I did not believe it, as I had not heard from you for so long. I was the more glad when I received your letter, and so are many of my friends & of the musical people here, who long to see and hear you. The musical season has begun pretty well here, the orchestra perform the Symphonies in very good style & with the greatest zeal, & I hope you will have some pleasure of your residence here. It is at least now one of the best & most animated musical places of this country, & I trust I shall have some of your orchestral music performed as it ought to be.
